Annie Crawley, AKA Ocean Annie
Award winning producer, underwater photographer, author, and speaker, Annie Crawley gives the ocean a voice. Originally from Chicago, Annie’s life changed after college when she took her first breath underwater as a scuba diver. She continues her path traveling our world underwater as a PADI Scuba Instructor, underwater photographer/filmmaker, producer and writer. Inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame, she’s internationally recognized for her work with kids, teens, schools, groups and organizations for leading a movement changing the way the next generation views the ocean and themselves. Annie offers keynotes, workshops, and so much more. She’s created productions for live performances in conjunction with indoor and outdoor events from ballets and symphonies, to corporate parties and conferences. She thrives connecting stories about ocean exploration, discovery, risk, while empowering all ages. Annie’s work has been published and broadcast worldwide. She founded Annie Crawley’s Dive Team to train kids, teens and young adults not only to scuba dive, but incorporates science, photography, and film. She’s helping create the next generation of ocean storytellers and ambassadors. You can join our team and commit to speak up for the ocean. During 2020 she worked with her team on the My Underwater Backyard project featuring Edmonds Underwater Park. Annie inspires all audiences to take calculated risks and weaves life’s lessons into all of her performances. Make sure you ask her about her calculated risks. These programs can be designed for smaller groups or given in large auditoriums with hundreds or thousands. When speaking to large school audiences we recommend breaking students by grade levels. K-2; 3-4; 5-6; 7-8; High School; College/University
