We conduct year round classes in dry suits in the Pacific Northwest, specializing in one on one training and semi-private classes. We teach kids, teens, families and adults how to scuba dive locally in the Puget Sound area of the Salish Sea and run trips around the world. For companies, we offer unique team building experiences, incorporating ocean principles and stewardship.

For our kids and teens we offer semester long programs during the school year and weekly summer camp programs. Kids and teens learn team building, leadership, and other valuable life skills while creating lifelong friendships during our dive team programs. We organize camps both by age and course level, giving many opportunities for mentorship. Our courses build confidence, self esteem, respect, responsibility and a love for our environment. With more than two dozen exciting courses to choose, plus classes in marine biology, environmental sustainability, nature photography, and filmmaking, Annie Crawley's Scuba Diving team is the most unique program in the world. Learning to dive with our team opens a new world of ocean leadership, marine science, underwater photography and storytelling opportunities. Classes fill up quickly so learn more here and let’s get started!

For our adult classes and advanced training we offer a flexible schedule to fit your needs. You will meet other divers who share a passion for exploring our world underwater. We cater our classes to your interests, teaching a variety of in-depth underwater imaging classes and citizen science courses. Ladies, ask us about our empowering courses and travel opportunities for women! We’ve traveled the world diving in kelp forests, swimming with humpback whales, and exploring the coral triangle!

THE OCEAN NEEDS STORYTELLERS. JOIN OUR GROWING COMMUNITY OF PEOPLE WHO UNDERSTAND THEIR VITAL CONNECTION TO THE SEA.

We work with kids, teens, adults, schools, organizations, corporations and other groups who want to understand their connection to the sea. Our Ocean and You produces mission-driven short films, multi-media presentations, immersive experiences, community outreach tools, pop-up experiences, and more for organizations working towards ocean sustainability. One of our latest projects included creating a film for live symphony performances to create awareness about ocean noise pollution. Working with composer Stella Sung, we created a film for a symphony of the same title, Oceana, to raise awareness about ocean noise pollution.

Contact us if you are interested in collaborating on becoming a voice for our ocean. Our team also teaches workshops on photo, video, and multi-media storytelling.

Underwater Photography/Video—Basic to Advanced

Innovations in digital cameras, lighting, mobile technology, and faster data speed transfers revolutionized underwater imaging. Ten years ago we were driven by text, today it’s visuals. Our mobile devices and speed changed the way we communicate and we hold production studios in the palm of our hands. Learn the basics of underwater lighting, shooting, and editing with professional Annie Crawley. Students will learn ten different techniques to capture images so they can create stories. This course is extremely fun and rewarding as you discover the basics of visually telling a story. You receive unparalleled guidance from our team as you begin the journey of documenting our world underwater. Whether filming with a GoPro, SeaLife Camera, mobile device, compact, mirrorless, or a DSLR, you have the ability to capture images or 4k video and share minutes later. This course is available year round as a two day, week, or semester long program. Contact us directly to see what session would be right for you or your school/organization.
