We grow up protecting trees because as children we learn trees create oxygen through photosynthesis. We defend rainforests, recycle, and grow gardens. We understand the value of our environment through the lens of trees. It’s time we refocus, expand, and understand our environment adding a new lens―that of our ocean―our life source.

Our Ocean And You helps people understand how our lives are interconnected with the sea. We breathe ocean with every breath we take. Marine plants and phytoplankton produces more than 50% of the oxygen we need. The maps are wrong. Our ocean covers 70% of planet Earth, so really, we should be called planet Ocean. We are connected to the ocean through our air, water, climate, food, and economy. Yet, the ocean is often misunderstood, misrepresented, and undervalued by our society. Our history fills us with stories of conquering lands and people rather than living at one with our environment. Our ocean unites everyone and everything; without a healthy ocean, we are not healthy.

Our campaigns reach audiences with a goal to educate, inspire, and protect our life source. We create multi-media keynote presentations, workshops, immersive experiences, travel opportunities, teacher workshops, and more focusing on the beauty/importance of the ocean while exploring issues including pollution, sustainability and the impacts of climate change. Watch Breathe Ocean to see what we’ve created with schools and kids in our community.

During the past decade we’ve experienced unprecedented changes to our environment. We are depriving the ocean of its resources at an unsustainable rate. Dumping plastic into every water way creating havoc. We are changing water chemistry and the temperature because of carbon pollution. The ocean, our life support system, faces a devastating future if we don’t act now.

We recognize people created these problems and only we can be the solution. Public awareness drives policy and corporate change. Join the Our Ocean and You team and help create a paradigm shift in how we view our ocean. Stories are powerful tools. By opening conversations in our homes, communities, schools and workplaces about how we impact our environment, we can make a difference. The ocean needs your voice, because without you, there is none. We want to help you to speak-up for the ocean and understand the importance of living at one with our environment.

We empower young people because we recognize the importance of their voice. If kids across the world unite for our environment, we will see change across all business. We give tools to educators, schools, and families. Our Ocean and You recognizes the power within everyone to inspire change in our world. Thanks for your time and interest, we want to hear your stories. Together we hold the power to change our future by raising our voices for our environment. Please share and tag #OurOceanAndYou.
